Biography
Starting on the saxophone as a child, Chad began pursuing his musical journey soon afterwards on guitar. His parents as an inspiration-his Dad as a musician and creative designer; his Mom as a voice of reason and human insight-he sought truth from writing, singing & playing in his early teens.
He played in several local & regional bands from teens to twenty's,
each one giving more ideas and insight into music and humanity.
Chad often refers to these years "as his best learning years"
not just because of the typical youth mistakes but the incredible
musicians he felt he had the pleasure to have worked with...
from national & international artists to local & regional.
In 1992 Chad released his first CD "Carpe Noctem". Although incredibly crude by today's standards, it was an intense body of work in which he spent months working out little details. This album started the following of devoted fans that remain loyal to this day.
At the rate of several CDs a year, Chad continued his solo career
while also pursuing group & project efforts
groups like 9 Days
Wonder, project Deep Blue Sky, and, a favorite act that is still
going strong, the
Logic.
In 2003 Chad decided it was time for another solo album. He wrote close to 20 songs and hired musicians from all over North Carolina to come & play. This new album is thought to be entitled: "Occam's Razor"
a scientific theory that states: "all things being equal, the most obvious answer is the truth".
